Day 04 - Your views on religion.

Sooo. I haven't posted on here in over a year, but I figured Day 4 was a good place to start back up. A ton of things have happened in my life since I started this blog & I don't know where I'll be taking it, but maybe I'll start it back up now. :)

My views on religion: Mostly negative. Don't get me wrong - I know people who take religion to a good place, and I have no problem with that whatsoever, but for the most part I see religion used as a form of control through hatred and fear. For the people who use it for good and take the positive messages out of religion, I am truly happy for them. (I'm mainly referring to Christianity because, being stuck in the Bible Belt for my entire life, that's what I'm surrounded by and therefore most familiar with). I don't see anything wrong with people who need something to hold on to for inspiration, comfort, etc. as long as they don't use it as a means to oppress, control, judge, or otherwise harm others (or themselves). More or less, I'm completely disgusted by the hate and ignorance spread in the name of organized religion, and I personally think that it's easier to just live by positive principles without the need of a religion telling you that you should love and be kind. You can be a good person with morals without religion, I promise.

That's probably all I'll ever post here about religion because it's a topic I hate to discuss. :)

Day 03 - Your views on drugs and alcohol.

Well, for obvious reasons alcohol can be good OR bad. I don't really see the point of drugs because nothing positive comes out of using them. Unless you're referring to marijuana, in which case I don't see why it's such a big deal if someone wants to smoke it. In a lot of cases it's less harmful than alcohol, and that's a great American pastime. *shrug*

Day 02 - Where you’d like to be in 10 years.

Happy and comfortable.

Hopefully happy and comfortable in Austin. :)

I'll be 31, and by that time I don't expect to be rich by any means, but I do want to be able to live without a constant worry of how the next wave of bills will be paid.

Day 01 - Your current relationship status, if single discuss how single life is.

Taken, for the past 3 years, 9 months, 13 days and counting :)

We've had our ups and down, both of which have reached the extremes, but we're still together and I wouldn't have it any other way. We've changed and grown a lot over the years, and we continue to learn more every day about each other and how to make our relationship stronger.

You're it!

The other night I was sitting up in bed after JD fell asleep, watching Dexter on my laptop. Out of nowhere, JD rolled over and hit me HARD on the back. When I asked him what the hell that was for, his reply was a bunch of mumbling and occasional references to the game of tag he was playing. :) I wish I could see into his mind so I would know what's going on in his dreams.

Sleep Conversations

My boyfriend talks in his sleep pretty much every night. Sometimes he'll have silly conversations with me, sometimes he'll just laugh, sometimes he'll make random exclamations or call some dream-person names. It amazes me, every single time. I can never resist laughing and trying to get him to keep going, and I always have to tell him about it the next day.

Last night, he had a little conversation with me. It always starts out of nowhere, and if I wait too long to reply it's too late. Here's how this one went:

him: *mumble mumble* "....sleep."

me: "what?"

him: "All I want is to go to sleep."

me: "......well, you are asleep."

him: "Oh...Good!!"

Then he chuckled and went silent again. Most of what he says in his sleep is completely simple like this, but it makes me ridiculously happy every time.
